Message from the CEO

I am so proud that Ameren has been recognized for decades as a strong corporate citizen. Our co-workers consistently demonstrate the value of giving back across Illinois and Missouri through extensive volunteerism and support of organizations like the American Cancer Society. This speaks directly to our All-in culture.

With one in two men and one in three women being diagnosed with cancer in their lifetimes, nearly all of us have been impacted by this terrible disease. I've seen co-workers, neighbors and even family members who have battled this disease in some form or fashion. It's heartbreaking. But there is good news. Advances in treatment and research – made possible by organizations such as ACS – are helping more and more people fight back, improving outcomes and making it possible for survivors to lead happier, healthier and more fulfilling lives.

From Nov. 5-9, Ameren co-workers are encouraged to participate in our weeklong campaign, Ameren Fights Cancer. We hope you will consider being part of our extended Ameren family and join us in giving to the campaign. This year's campaign will help rebuild "Hope Lodge", a residential facility for cancer patients who are receiving care in the St. Louis area.  The people who use this facility would not otherwise be able to receive care at St. Louis' world class cancer treatment centers without the help of Hope Lodge.

Ameren is committed to raising funds and awareness – banding together to help the American Cancer Society save lives by funding groundbreaking cancer research, providing free information and critical services for people who need them, and by helping people reduce their risk for cancer or find it early when it’s most treatable.

Thank you for offering your time and talents to this worthwhile cause. Together we can become part of the next big breakthrough in the fight against cancer.
