Fundraising Superstar

Welcome to the DreaMM Team  Superteam page!

A unity in strength sparked by two warrior Moms, Carla and Elsa with a purpose and infinite common goal for young adults.

Like a quilt gently stitched together by threads of HOPE and LOVE for Carla's son Michael and Elsa's daughter Maria touched by blood cancers, our team was formed.

Our families extend far beyond our household and together we can make a difference.

Each unique journey of life experiences, sharing powerful messages of survival, courage, inspiration, and loss.

The intense need for resources of support for the survivors.  Along with narrating the memories for those who lost their battle.

Through unspoken demonstrations of love, believing, anything is possible.

It’s never easy to see your children suffering, and you wish you can take it all away. At the same time, we’ve been inspired by our children’s strength in such a difficult time. Michael & Maria are ambassadors to those touched by a blood cancer at such a momentous age.

At only 18 years old, Michael was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He endured numerous treatments and even in the most difficult moments, had such courage and strength. Unfortunately, after 19 months of fighting, Michael hung up his boxing gloves at just 20 years old. He was charismatic, funny and so mature. Even in what were his final moments, he wanted to make sure our family would be okay. We are carrying forth his wish to continue his fight, for all those currently in treatment.

We ask everyone to be a part of Michael’s wish and help us end blood cancer!

Maria was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma at the age of 19, with her whole life ahead of her, excited to start her second year of nursing at Cegep, her whole life came to a sudden halt a change she will remember forever. Instead of Maria, thinking about her school, travelling and hanging out with friends, she was now worried if she would be able to fight this disease, and dealt with all the physical changes that come with cancer. We are thankful Maria is still with us, but she is still battling the fight.

Two very different stories, but our goals are the same. Our children brought us together and brought a strength in us to carry forth these wishes!

Many activities, social gatherings and events have stopped and have forced the LLSC to rely on community based fundraising, but cancer didn’t stop because of a global pandemic. We need your help more than ever.

Embark with us impacting the countless lives of young adults touched by blood cancers.

Please consider making a donation, or joining our team in honour of all our beautiful warriors.
