Thank you for your interest in 2016 Corey C. Griffin NHL Alumni Pro-Am Tournament.

However, this event is now closed.

The NHL Alumni Association and the Boston Bruins Foundation recently hosted the 2016 Corey C. Griffin NHL Alumni Pro-Am on April 22-24, 2016, raising over $700,000 for Boston Children’s Hospital's Pediatric Head Trauma Unit.

The unit is one of the world’s leading pediatric neuroscience centers for the research of trauma on the developing brain. Funds raised have enabled Boston Children’s Hospital to expand research efforts, support pilot grants in all areas of brain injury research, and create opportunities for new, multidisciplinary research projects to create transformative models of care.

Additionally, we are thrilled to announce that as a direct result of our donations, Boston Children's Hospital has launched the Massachusetts Concussion Management Coalition.  The Coalition will offer education and support in the areas of head injury and concussion management and treatment, as well as ImPACT baseline testing and post-testing, to all interested MIAA (Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association) member schools free of charge beginning with the 2016-2017 academic year.

This year's Pro-Am kicked off with a Draft Party on Friday, April 22, at the Royal Sonesta in Cambridge. The tournament was held at the New England Sports Center and featured 15 teams, 21 NHL Alumni and 248 tournament participants.

Fundraising efforts produced one of the Pro-Am’s most successful years, with 8 individuals alone raising over $10,000, four teams raising over $40,000 and two teams combining to raise well over $250,000. Sunday’s Championship game featured Bain Capital, the top fundraising team, playing with Ray Bourque, facing off against the NHL Alumni, as well as the All-Star game which featured the top 20 individual fundraisers facing off again the NHL Alumni.

Participants had the opportunity to skate with Bruins greats including Ray Bourque, Bob Beers, Ken Hodge, Rick Middleton and Bob Sweeney, as well as some new out-of-towners like Wayne McBean from the Arizona Coyotes and Bryce Salvador from the New Jersey Devils.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT PARTICIPATED FOR YET ANOTHER TRULY AMAZING YEAR!
