What is the Optimist Hill Campaign?
The proposed project will build a 70’ hill with nearly 400 feet of usable slope right here in Diefenbaker Park! Winter or summer, Optimist Hill will offer settings for a range of outdoor activities for children to adults! Snowboarding, skiing, tubing, and tobogganing are just some of the winter activities we plan to provide. The central location and affordable equipment rentals will make outside play easy and accessible for everyone in our community. When it’s time to warm up, the Chalet will offer healthy concession treats, meeting and event spaces, and other services.
