2017 Breaking Borders participants are
planning a trip this summer to Haida Gwaii on Canada’s beautiful west coast.
The trip will require the participants to work together - planning every detail
of the trip and even fundraising to get there. In an effort to give back,
participants have committed to a shoreline clean up on Haida Gwaii with a goal
of removing 100kg of man-made debris that endangers these vital coastal

Quality Canada, in partnership with POGO (Pediatric Oncology Group
of Ontario) that provides childhood cancer/brain tumour survivors with the
opportunity to take the trip of a lifetime! Breaking Borders aims to aid in the
transitioning of these incredible survivors into the worlds of work and higher
education by providing them with an opportunity to engage in a challenging,
self-directed adventure experience. This self-directed,
professionally-facilitated group experience promotes the simple truth that
growth demands us to reach outside of ourselves.
