Ride Don’t Hide is a community bike ride hosted, nationally, by the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), with the goal to raise awareness and help break the stigma surrounding mental health while raising essential funds to support mental health programs in our community.


Event Details

  • Location: Kirkland Lake, Ontario
  • Date: June 24th, 2018
  • Routes: 10km, 30km, 65km and 100km!
  • Route start times to be determined – stay tuned!

Registration

  • Registration Fee: $30 Early Bird Fee until April 30th. $35 Registration Fee as of May 1st.  $40 on the day of the event. Includes free rider t-shirt.
  • Kids ride free (Optional t-Shirt $12 for kids)

Your Funds at Work:

Funds raised through the ride go towards providing mental health services and special activities for individuals living with mental illness in Kirkland Lake, Englehart, Temiskaming Shores and Timmins. Since our first Ride Don’t Hide in 2015, your generosity has supported initiatives like:

  • Providing access to transportation to clients living in rural and remote areas to attend groups and classes at CMHA.
  • Providing drop-in evenings for individuals who would otherwise not access services
  • Supporting clients in finding and maintaining safe housing
  • Supporting physical activity through the Active Recovery Program. This includes fitness class passes, equipment and healthy snacks for participants.

The Canadian Mental Health Association Cochrane-Timiskaming Branch is a community-based mental health organization serving the people of the  Timiskaming District and the Timmins area.  CMHA-CT envisions a community that embraces mental health as a key to well-being.  We provide programs and services to help people living with and touched by mental illness to support them on their journey to happy and fulfilling lives.
