On December 31, 2012, I suffered a heart attack. Thanks to treatment methods that have been developed through research, I was "patched up" with a couple of stents. Throughout my rehabilitation, the Heart & Stroke Foundation has been there with information, support and RECIPES that ensure that I can have a high quality of life and while maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I am participating in the Heart&Stroke Big Bike to raise funds for the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick. Every 7 minutes someone in Canada dies from heart disease and stroke.
