On May 30th, 2015, I will be participating in Woman2Warrior Calgary and becoming a Warrior in support of Easter Seals Alberta and Children's Hospital Aid Society.
Easter Seals Alberta is committed to helping children and their families overcome the challenges of a physical disability or special need. By providing families with necessary mobility equipment, we can help ensure they live a better life. Money raised will also help send over 1200 children, youth and adults with a physical disability or special need to Easter Seals Camp Horizon, where they enjoy a unique summer camp experience and succeed in ways they never imagined possible.
Children’s Hospital Aid Society (CHAS) is a volunteer-based charitable organization of 75 women that has been raising funds in Calgary since 1908. CHAS funds programs, services and research projects for the Alberta Children’s Hospital and hosts an annual Easter Party for children and their families at the hospital. CHAS also supports community agencies that are working to positively impact the lives of children. In the last 17 years alone, CHAS has raised $4.8 million to fulfill its mandate to improve the health and well-being of children and young adults in Calgary through Caring, Helping, Assisting and Serving.
If you would like to help, secure online donations can be made with your credit card and an electronic tax receipt will be sent to you by email. Charitable Receipts will automatically be issued for donations of $20 or more. Donations under $20 are sent receipts only upon request.
