My Message

"We think it's cancer. Chemo. Dying."  What terrifying words to hear. Maybe you've heard these words or maybe your sister or your daughter or your best friend from college has heard them. Just over a year ago, my college bestie called me and whispered these words, "I have breast cancer..." then she burst into tears. She was pregnant when she first felt a lump--she and the doc both thought it was just natural changes from nursing. At 39 years old, with a 7-week old baby and a 2.5 yr old toddler, she was diagnosed. She is now, a year later, in remission. Her hair is growing back and her spirit is stronger than ever.

Maybe it was your father, or your brother or your son (oh, yes, breast cancer affects men, too. In 2017, ~2,500 men are expected to get breast cancer). Thank goodness for our incredible doctors and nurses, but there is much to do. Every day more and more is being discovered about cancer--every day we are closer to finding a way to prevent it, a way to cure it. Please help. Please support our community as we Quest for a cure to save us from Breast Cancer.

September 29-30, 2018, my team (Quest for the Breast) will be walking 30 miles for the Atlanta 2-Day Walk to raise $100,000. I've set a personal goal to rasie $1000.). 100% of YOUR donations stay right here in Georgia to support breast health and breast cancer programs throughout the state. 100% of your donations go to help your sister, daughter, mother, brother, son, father, friend.
