Thank you so much for supporting me as I walk to make a difference for those individuals and families dealing with Alzheimer's disease and dementia. My grandmother, Maria Madorma, suffered from this disease. It was heart wrenching to watch her slowly slip away from us to a place in her mind where we no longer existed, except for brief snippets. I am walking in my Nanny's honor and supporting Alzheimer's North Carolina as they continue their work with families in local North Carolina communities providing much needed programs and services.
