My Message

I have been involved with Camp Nejeda since 2017. Before this I worked at two other diabetes camps, so I've been at diabetes camp every summer since 2011. I myself do not have diabetes, I am a registered nurse and certified diabetes educator (CDE) who provides medical care for children with diabetes in Manhattan.

I am a strong believer in the difference camp can make in a child's life, particularly to foster friendships where the child can no longer feel like the only one dealing with diabetes. Camp is an amazing place, and I donate all of my time to camp as a volunteer to help camp be able to have access to highly trained CDEs and to improve the diabetes care our medical staff provides to our campers.

Thank you in advance for donating to camp, even small donations can make a big difference.

Also, welcome any speedrunners from my Twitch communities! Thank you for considering doing a stream to raise money for Camp Nejeda for the 1 Hand for Type 1 event. I really appreciate it. Remember to share the word on social media with the hashtag #1HandForType1 and encourage other speedrunners to participate. Thanks, y'all!

Camp Nejeda is a home away from home for children and teens with type 1 diabetes.
