Lacing up for my sister and fundraising for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada:
After a long break I have decided to put on my running shoes, and see if I can train for 42.2 km in the next 10 weeks. Last time I ran this marathon, I also fundraised for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, as my sister was undergoing treatment for Leukemia. I am happy to say that the treatment was successful and my sister is now a survivor, which means her cancer is in remission. Her recovery from the treatment has been difficult, but we are all thankful for the support and the past donations which helped fund research to find cures and ensure access to treatments for blood cancer patients.
Lets all work to get to the finish line and help others receive the best treatment available. Much Love and thanks for the donation, Troy
Did you know:
That an estimated 138,000 people are affected by blood cancers in Canada?
That someone is diagnosed every 23 minutes?
And that every 72 minutes someone will die?
I want to do my part to help change these statistics.
Unfortunately, too many of us have had cancer touch our lives and we all want to know how we can help loved ones who are battling cancer. We’re not all doctors or researchers, but we can all do our part to help.
I can train. You can donate.
