On January 6, 2021 I will be participating in the Walt Disney World Marathon as a fundraiser and teammate for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training. Over the past three years we have raised more than $60,000 as part of the overall $2.5 Million raised by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada for the same event. This year I have committed to raising $20,000 and I would like to ask for your support.
I began running in 2011, thanks to the support of friends and co-works, and have completed numerous half and full marathons. Many of you may not know that i have had 2 family members on my mother’s side of the family that have been affect by Leukemia and Lymphoma. My cousin Susan was diagnosed with Leukemia at the age of 4 and pass away before she was 8; my cousin Veronica was diagnosed with Leukemia at the age of 20 after the birth of her daughter and although undergoing a bone marrow transfer from her brother, passed away at the age of 25.
I invite you to join me on this quest to put an end to blood-related cancers. Your tax-deductible donations to the LLS will have a direct impact on those who are currently undergoing a plan of treatment by helping to provide patient services. In addition you will be funding research into improving therapies to benefit those who will be diagnose in the future.
Your help will make the difference! Please consider making a donation to LLS on my behalf.
