It's fundraising time again and it's cold out there.
Together with thousands of Canadians across the country, I'll be doing a 5 km walk and fundraising to support First United Church that has been serving people and families experiencing homelessness, hurt, and hunger in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside (DTES) community for over 135 years. I am familiar with this community as I have been volunteering in the DTES at the Listening Post for the past 20 years.
I will be walking with a team, the Canadian Memorial United Walkers, whose fundraising goal is $4000. Please, help me and this team surpass that goal (as we did last year!) by giving generously.
