Further in ensuring the care and support needed is available. Further in lengthening lifespans and improving lives.

In 1976 I was hospitalized at the Montreal Children’s hospital for a week due to acute appendicitis and subsequent appendectomy. I became friends with a boy(Charlie) in the room across the hall, he had CF and probably at the time didn't live to see his 15th birthday. I remember his mom and dad used to come in and train on the therapy method to expel the phlegm from his lungs. Needless to say it was heartbreaking. Now, through research, life expectancy is closer to 60!
