Walk With Me (actually or virtually) in The Grand Parade 2025 

Unitarian House of Ottawa is one of a kind! It is a retirement residence (where I live, and feel grateful to be here every day). It also has independent living apartments (where many of my friends live).  And all together it is a vibrant community served by fantastic staff and many dedicated volunteers. 

Unlike other retirement homes in Ottawa, UHO is not for profit. As a registered charity, it subsidizes residents who need financial support so they can continue to live with dignity and independence. With retirement costs rising, UHO relies on generous donors to assist in this cause. This community of retirees is truly unique.

On Saturday, September 20, 2025, I will be participating in The Grand Parade 2025, a national walk raising funds to support aging Canadians. This fund raiser will help UHO continue to provide high-quality, affordable care for those who live here.
