On Saturday, July 30, 2016, I will be taking on a challenge that will make a big difference in the lives of some very special kids. I will be biking for from Bar U Ranch to Bragg Creek, in support of Easter Seals Camp Horizon. Charitable Receipts will automatically be issued for donations of $20 or more.

Easter Seals Camp Horizon is the only facility in southern Alberta that offers a customized residential summer camp experience for kids and adults with disabilities and medical conditions such as cerebral palsy, kidney impairments, ostomies, and developmental disabilities. At Camp, kids have the chance to overcome the challenges of their medical condition and just be kids again. My nephew, who has Crohn's, attended the camp for the first time last year and other campers I have met have all said how much this camp means to them. For at least one week a year, no matter their disability, they can just be a kid. I even had one long-time camper say if there was a magic pill that would heal her cerebal palsy, but it meant she could never go to Camp Horizon again, she might not take it. This shows how powerful the Camp Horizon experience is for the campers.
