My name is Layne Warner, I have been competing in Special Olympics Kansas since I was in 7th grade. 

I compete in Snowshoeing, Swimming, Track, Bowling, and Boccee. 

My favorite thing about Special Olympics is the fact that I have friends like me and we can be ourselves and not be uncomfortable. We also all have the support of our families. 

I compete with Team Bonner Springs, they have all become my bonus family. I consider my teammates to be siblings and my best friends. 

I like to try new sports and bring in my teammates to compete with me. 

I live with my dad and mom, our dog Ranger and cat Oscar. I also have a younger sister Ellie who is my biggest fan. I enjoy reading books, playing video games and watching Star Wars movies. 

I am excited to be competing at the Special Olympics World Games!
