POWERCHORD - HEAVY METAL RADIO DECIMATING THE LOWER MAINLAND SINCE 1985!

Orginally started in March of 1985 by Metal Ron and Gerald Rattlehead, Powerchord has been cranking out metal non-stop every Saturday afternoon ever since. Entering into it's 29th year and after many different hosts throughout the years, Powerchord is now helmed by Metal Ron, Andy Grotesque and Coleman Ingram. 

Powerchord is the longest running heavy metal radio program in Vancouver and needs your support to keep making it happen! 
In addition to the usual CiTR prizes, this year Powerchord donors of $20 or more will be entered into a prize pack draw including:

- 2 tickets to see Tesseract, Intronaut, Cloudkicker, Witch of the Waste and The Nautilus on April 16th at
   the Rickshaw Theatre in Vancouver (worth $40)
- a $20 gift certificate for Audiopile Records
- an Audiopile hoodie and tote bag ($40 worth)

Listener's have until Friday, March 7th to donate and enter the draw. The winner will be announced on-air on March 8th.

CiTR is your independent campus and community radio station. Between February 27 and March 7, we’re working to raise $35,000 for our annual CiTR Fundrive.

Please donate today - your support makes locally relevant, vibrant and vital radio possible.

This year, we are planning a big move! CiTR will be moving into the beautiful new Student Union building in November 2014. We’re excited to have a new home right in the middle of all action on campus.

Your donations to the Fundrive will help us move, and ensure that our new studios are kitted out with everything we need to continue to provide locally relevant, alternative and independent programming, broadcast training and community access to the airwaves.
