My name is Ali Phillips and I am raising money for the MARSOC Foundation, a charity that is very close to my heart. My husband is an active duty member of MARSOC and I want to directly benefit the community that we are apart of by raising money for a foundation that does so much good for those close to us. The MARSOC Foundation helps to support those injured or wounded in combat, assists MARSOC families with the health and welfare challenges that they may face, and supports memorials and commemorative services for fallen MARSOC Marines.

I will be running in the Carlsbad Marathon on January 15, 2017 and I wish to run each and every one of those miles for the great men that this community has lost. While running a full marathon is challenging, it pales in comparison to the accomplishments of those men. Knowing that I am running in honor of them and in support of such a wonderful charity will be my driving force, pulling me through all 26.2 miles.
