I recently returned from a trip to Ethiopia for the inauguration of a primary school that I along with many others fundraised to build. The experience has without a doubt changed my life. It has sparked a passion inside of me that I never knew existed and has given me a new perspective on life and how fortunate we are here in North America. I realized that the 'worries' I have in my life are miniscule compared to the challenges others in the world are facing. We are so fortunate to live in a country that prioritizes education. This is not the case in many parts of the world. I was so inspired by the people I met and the places I visited, that I want to contribute in every way I can to support Imagine 1 Day's goal for all Ethiopia children to have access to education like we are so fortunate to have. 

I have volunteered with Imagine 1 Day to raise money to build a new primary school in the Dello Mena District, Ethiopia and I am asking for your support. My goal is to raise $10,000 by January 30, 2017. All of your funded dollars go directly towards the construction of this new school. 

I was able to see with my own eyes how a new school not only impacts the lives of the children but of the families and of the community as a whole. It will provide children with access to qualty education, create new jobs within the community and will provide a new future for the entire village. 

I hope by sharing my experience, I can inspire others to do the same. We are all powerful individuals and when we come together as a community to give back, we can make a difference in the world and it can change thousands of lives for the better. Any amount is greatly appreciated.
