I am excited to bring awareness and fundraise for Hospitality House of Charlotte by being a participant in 1400 for 1400 Scott!

In just 30 days I have committed to raising $1400 - the average cost to fully operate HHOC for one night.

Hospitality House of Charlotte (located at 1400 Scott Avenue) provides the comforts of home by offering affordable accommodations in the heart of Charlotte’s medical          community. Whether families are facing a cancer diagnosis, awaiting an organ transplant, or dealing with another serious illness or injury, HHOC's goal is to provide a home      away from home where patients and families can get the rest, comfort, and nourishment they need while also building a community with others enduring similar medical            battles. Last year 4,000 people were served by Hospitality House.

Hospitality House of Charlotte is a very special place - a place only possible because of supporters like us. The rest, hope, and support of HHOC can change the life of a          patient and their family, and so can we.

Support my #1400for1400 by making a donation today!

Amount Raised
Fundraising Goal $2,800.00

I am excited to raise money for the Hospitality House of Charlotte in celebration of my late husband Sean Muldowney!!!!!

Sean was an intelligent, passionate, dedicated physician with excellent skills and an amazing bedside manner.  I'm confident he would have seen the value and need for the Hospitality House...both for the worried/stressed family members and the patient.

While Sean was going through his many, extensive courses of treatment for brain cancer, we were fortunate to be close to our medical providers and facilities and did not have to navigate the additional stress of where to stay.  Many people are not so fortunate.  Whether here for their loved one's chemo and radiation, organ transplant, trauma surgery, or premature birth, many family members end up sleeping in their cars or the crazy-uncomfortable (personal experience!!) couches in the ICU waiting room.

HHOC provides a welcoming, convenient, affordable place to stay right across the street from the main CMC campus.  Once in a room (there are 20 in the home), a family can stay as long as their 'person' is being treated--from one night to three months or more!!  Many nights each week, local volunteer groups cook and serve dinner for the guests to eat as they come in and out from the hospital.  They can relax in the den or the sunroom, use laundry facilities, or fix their own meals in the large kitchen... and there is even a hospital shuttle to take them back and forth.

Please join me in raising money for HHOC!!!  I have set up my personal page and made my doantion.  CHECK IT OUT!!!!  This is a short campaign, donations are due by APRIL 4TH.  So please act now and forward this to anyone you know who might be interested in helping families in medical crisis!!!

Thank you,
