I'm participating in Bike2Play 2019 in Support of Eva's to help end youth homelessness in Toronto
Did you know that there are 2,000 homeless youth in Toronto every night?
Each year Eva's gives over 2,000 homeless & at-risk youth a fresh start.
Eva’s is an innovative organization that operates 3 unique facilities in Toronto, providing safe shelter & diverse programs/services. Their goal is to help homeless and at-risk youth reach their potential to lead productive, self-sufficient and healthy lives. While youth learn work skills, Eva’s staff provide counseling, job placement & housing search support to help youth achieve self-sufficiency.
For the third year in a row, I'm riding a long way (This time to Niagara Falls) to raise money for a great cause. As a developer who builds homes for a living, I can appreciate as much as anyone the value and stability a home creates. We need to do our part to help end homelessness in Toronto and continue to make this the best place for anyone and everyone to live.
As some added incentive, if I raise $5,000 this year, I'll do the ride home from Niagara the next day, while everyone else takes the bus. That's over 275km in two days!
Thank you for your support as always!
Matt
