My Message

This event is very near and dear to my heart. During my education in Mental Health & Addictions, I worked for a Christian Ministry that would provide short and long term housing for men living with serious mental illness, which also accompanied volunteering for a homeless outreach centre.

Every year we would participate in Coldest Night of the Year in hopes to fundraise money to support the community and help individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Homeless is hardly ever a chosen path and there's a lot of stigma associated with it.

Please support me in alleviating this stigma and help by clicking the "Donate Now" button above. I can certainly understand how COVID has had an impact on us all - I ask that if it's not possible to provide a monetary donation, that you consider donating some food to your local food bank.

Any and all contributions are greatly appreciated. I thank you all in advance, you have no idea how much it means to me to have your support.

Warmest regards,

Julia

What an inspiring donor message. Although I don't know anyone in need, it is evident that many are looking for our help. 'There but for the grace of God go I'
