What accomplishments make you most proud of yourself?
"I am most proud of being a Global Messenger and getting to share my story with other people so they can see how great Special Olympics is. In 2020, I got to travel to Washington D.C. as a part of Athletes on the Hill, where I got to meet members of Congress and our state Senators."
How has Special Olympics changed your life?
"It has taught me sportsmanship and it has challenged me to be the best person I can be."
What challenges have you had to overcome, and how did Special Olympics help you?
"What challenges have you had to overcome and how did Special Olympics help you? Finding friends and activities that bring purpose and passion to my life has always been difficult for me after graduating high school. Finding teammates, finding a community of athletes in Special Olympics has been a constant brightness in my life."
What does attending USA Games mean to you?
"I am so honored to have this experience and to represent Team Kansas. It has challenged me to be a better athlete and practice hard. I am most excited to meet new people from other states and make new friends."
What is something interesting about you?
"I love to color, draw, and do crafts. I make my own greeting cards for friends. I volunteer at a day service as a peer model. I am also active in my church and take part in the services when we have them for the special needs community. I also volunteer at Special Olympics Kansas fundraisers where I have been a speaker and have done other things to help wherever I can."
