What accomplishments make you most proud of yourself?
"I was able to save up money and buy my first car on my own. I am also proud of myself for remaining at my job for so long and each year I have received positive reviews, promotions and pay raises."
How has Special Olympics changed your life?
"I have met a lot of great people and made many long lasting friendships."
What challenges have you had to overcome, and how did Special Olympics help you?
"One of my biggest challenges is saving money. Being involved in Special Olympics gives me the motivation to get up and go to work and save money for car repairs, insurance and gas so I can continue to make it to practice to get better at my sport, help my team, and see my friends at practice and outside of practice when we hang out."
What does attending USA Games mean to you?
"I am very proud of myself for continuing to put in the work to get better and that my coach sees what I am doing. I am also excited but nervous because this will be the first time I travel independently without my family right next to me so it will be a way to show that I can do this, I have more courage than I think I do and I am capable."
What is something interesting about you that most people don’t know?
"This is the first time doing something like this."
