"That I accept the fact that I am different and have mitochondrial disease."

How has Special Olympics changed your life?

"It has allowed me to meet new people and try new sports."

What challenges have you had to overcome, and how did Special Olympics help you? 

"I have had to overcome being bullied in school and school activities. Special Olympics has let me feel normal and given me a place where I feel welcome."

What does attending USA Games mean to you?

"It means the world to me that I get to represent Kansas and Special Olympics."

What is something interesting about you that most people don’t know?
