My Message

It's cold out there. And on February 20, I am going to walk to support Island Crisis Care Society, a Christian organization here in Nanaimo and Oceanside communities that has been running womens's shelters and programs to help addicts since the 1980's. Our pastor, Paul Leslie, one of the first Executive Directors, started the partnership with Island Health to help a crisis stabilization program for people with concurrent disorders. And now ICCS manages the housing that was created for the people of Nanaimo's tent cities. A portion of CNOY donations goes to Blue Sea Foundation to cover promotion and admin costs. ICCS staff have assured me it is well worth their while to participate.

I will be walking 5 km along with First Baptist's virtual team to get a taste of the cold streets and to help those who need some loving care. Will you support me?
