It's cold out there. We all know that right now. What you may not know is how many people are living alone on the streets in this cold. Days on days of torture, no where to hide from the frigid temperatures, fingers now black and blue, nowhere to turn to for help. Evicted and kicked out of their temporary housing, one of the only things keeping them sheltered and alive, is being ripped out of their hands by the people who are suppose to help. Covid is flooding the hospitals and the shelters are packed, where can they go? The only people they have are the ones generous enough to give. We need to act on this and help our people. It isn't fair to anyone to be out on the streets in this weather. Very few people have seen the damage but we all know that the weather can kill. They need our help before it's too late. We need to step up as a city and help them ourselves. Everyone can help, You can help. On February 26, I'll be volunteering and fundraising to support people and families experiencing homelessness, hurt, and hunger in my community. Hundreds of people will walk the streets of downtown, raising money to help the people that need it most. You can walk with us, or make a difference from your home, a simple donation goes a long way. Please, help us fundraise by clicking the "Donate Now" button, anything helps. Thank you for making a difference. We can't do this alone.
