My Message
This is not somehting I thought I wanted to do. I never saw myself running a marathon. I'm a sprinter. I don't do long distance runs. But when my wife asked me to run the Chicago Marathon with her and raise money for charity, I agreed. I knew it would push me out of my comfort zone. I don't like asking people for money. I don't like running long distances. But, I've learned in life success is on the otherside of fear. I spent the last decade of my life working toward a goal of finishing school. Year by year my goals took a backseat to my family. I moved states. I became a stay-at-home dad. I constantly put others before myself. But sure enough, I reached my goal. Depsite a pandemic and virtual student teaching, I reached my goal. I now am a highschool math teacher. My students look up to me and challenge me to be better everyday. I'm a dad to the most amazing little boy. I'm doing this for them. So they can see, if you are willing to step outside of your comfort zone, amazing things are waiting for you.
