My Message

Huge thanks to my friends in Elmvale for coming on board to help the Guesthouse Emergency Shelter.  You all rock, Fern et al!!

All I had to do was mention at St. John's Elmvale last Sun that the Guesthouse Shelter staff have been providing overnight shelter for an average of 50 every night during much of the pandemic. Many families with children. Many who really should have been in a palliative care.  Yes, there have been deaths... there have been constant challenges to keep homeless children learning... there have been vaccine clinics courtesy of our great health unit ... and there have been infections and illness.
Through it all, the GH team has always "left the light on in North Simcoe".  But now they are exhausted and it is time to show them how much they are loved.  So on Sat Feb 26, we are walking the streets of Elmvale for our Guesthouse Heroes. Together with thousands of Canadians across the country,  Please, if you able, give generously by clicking the "Donate Now" button above.  Or consider joining us in Elmvale or wherever you feel safe to walk. Thanks!

The Guesthouse staff has been there 24/7 throughout the pandemic, averaging 50 guests per night, including many homeless families with children. Now is the time we need to step up and show them we care.
