My Message

I am running the Chicago Marathon on October 9, 2022 on the Angelman Syndrome Foundation team. I am running for our son, Teddy, who has Angelman Syndrome and for all of the other individuals with Angelman Syndrome. I ask you to give money to the Angelman Syndrome Foundation in support of my 26.2 mile run around Chicago.

Angelman Syndrome is a rear neuro-genetic disorder with symptoms including developmental delay, lack of speech, seizures, and walking and balance disorders. Individuals with Angelman syndrome will require life-long care. The Angelman Syndrome Foundation, Inc., (ASF) is a non-profit organization with the mission of advancing the awareness and treatment of Angelman syndrome through education and information, research, and support for individuals with Angelman syndrome, their families, and other concerned parties.

Teddy is 6 years old now and his symptoms include developmental delays, lack of speech, epilepsy, and walking and balance disorders. More importantly, Teddy is a happy, warm, generous boy with a great sense of humor, the ability to brighten up your day and wash the bad things away with his smile. Teddy is teaching us so much about love, kindness, generosity, selflessness and the value of what is important.

If you have given in support of Angelman syndrome before I thank you and ask that you continue to give generously. If you have not donated before this is the perfect time to give money to support the great work that ASF is doing. Thank you.
