My Message

Welcome to my personal and team fundraising page in support of Mom's this Mother's Day who are presesently battling blood cancer, and for those who have left us in this world, leaving us better for having loved them,  as they loved us.  My sister and I were both summer babies -so the Movement for Mom's Campaign will run up until Aug 3, 2022.   Our Mom's life journey ended Nov 30th, 2017 after being diagnosed with AML in August 2017.

They gave us our heartbeat, they felt our heartaches growing up and when you smiled their heart smiled too.   If you have had to endure watching their heart stop- yours will too.  Their unconditional nuturing will be that silent voice in your head - reminding you to keep moving.  That heartbeat she gave you was a gift of love, gratitude, kindness and duty.   The duty of setting an example - to take the gifts bestowed onto you and put them out into the universe.

As one of our mother's caregivers, along with my sister Miranda and my mother's sister Jackie, we have a special place in our heart for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada  and their mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

The Movement for Mom's Campaign is comprised of a team of individuals who will move for donations.  (Run, Hike, Bike, Walk, Paddle)

For every $25.00 Donation- we will log 25 minutes of activity that will be shared!

The more fundraising dollars earned, the more we move to honour Mom's!  Seeing this battle lived first hand, I cannot tell you how important movement is in the journey.

Every 23 minutes someone is diagnosed with a blood cancer in Canada, accounting for 11% of estimated new cancer cases in Canada.

You can be part of the cure by kindly donating to my fundraising efforts. Thank you for supporting me and the thousands of Canadians living with a blood cancer.
