On February 25th Coldest Night Of The Year will bring thousands of Canadians across the country together to walk and raise money for local charities serving people experiencing hurt, hunger and homelessness. This is a cause especially close to my heart but it is something which effects us all in one way or another. So many people are living one paycheck away from homelessness. We will all benefit from this fundraiser as a community.
All proceeds donated to myself and my team will be going to help the John Howard Society of Fredericton (JHSF), an organization which helps so many people in our community in a variety of ways. JHSF is a registered charity that provides a wide array of community programs, general support services, outreach services, and affordable housing for the homeless. JHSF has 4 main focus areas: CHIMO Helpline (a provincial crisis helpline available to all New Brunswickers), Youth Intervention Services (helping at-risk youth with things like job skills and placement, mentorship, anger management, and more), Shelter Services (operate a 30 bed shelter for people experiencing homelessness), and Housing First Services (a recovery-oriented approach to ending homelessness, own and operate 53 permanent and affordable housing units for people who had been experiencing homelessness).
By clicking the "Donate Now " button above, your generous contribution will allowJHSF to continue to help our community as a whole by providing these invaluable services and programs to the most vulnerable members of our society. Your gracious donation will be appreciated by many! Thank you!
