It's cold out there. And on February 24, I'm going to do something about it.

Together with thousands of Canadians across the country, I'll be walking and fundraising to support people and families experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness in my community.

This is AWAC's (Association Advocating For Women And Community) big fundraiser for the year. AWAC provides so many services in Prince George including low barrier shelter and multi-level transitional housing, treatment supportst, outreach and advocacy, overnight street supports to keep unsheltered people fed and warm as much as possible in our winters, and modified educuation opportunities at the college.

This year, I'm walking with the St Giles Presbyterian team. That's right, I'm the atheist representative on a team that includes Pastor Curtis. To battle conversion, I need donations! Fellow unbelievers, please help! Only you can help keep Atheist Kat from going over to the Dark Side. We can show those pesky church goers a thing or two about generosity!!
