Hi friends!

I am walking again this year in The Ontario Finnish Resthome Association's Grand Parade! In 2022 year we raised $54,000, and $65,500 in 2023 and this year we're hoping to raise over $75,000!  We are fundraising to purchase new dining room chairs and common area furniture for our Mauno Kaihla Koti (MKK) Long-term Care home. These chairs will accompany the recent dining room table upgrades that were made possible because of our AMAZING supporters. Join us on Sept. 21 and fundraise to continue creating a more comfortable, better than basic home for our loved ones and your community seniors!

The Finn Home holds a special place in my heart, having completed an NOHFC internship there over 7 years ago post University and getting to know the staff and residents first hand was such an amazing experience. Since then I've volunteered on the Ontario Finnish Resthome Foundation Board of Directors and am now the Vice President. The work that the Foundation does directly impacts the residents and improves their quality of life during the sunset years which makes it all worth while.
