Nothing feels as good as home. That’s why we’re building the new, safe Dundas Manor.
On September 21, 2024, I'm organizing The Grand Parade Winchester, and fundraising to publicly honour and support aging friends and family.
For many people in our local communities, Dundas Manor is home. The current home is cramped and deteriorating, but magic happens here every day.
Dundas Manor is the only long-term care home in Dundas County. While an essential part of our local healthcare system, it is also a place of joy and happiness, jokes, prayers, and peace. It is filled with activities, books, exercise, music, and balloon fights. It’s warm, cozy, crowded, and dated. The dining space is so limited that some residents literally eat their meals in the hallway. Staff members work in offices that used to be closets. Two people can barely pass by one another in the narrow hallways. We need a new home.
Construction has started, and the goal is to have everyone moved in by late summer of 2026! We have reached about 75% of our $18 million goal - so we need to keep fundraising!
