I'm fundraising in the Ride for Refuge on October 5 in solidarity with people seeking hope, safety, and freedom. And although it only takes a few hours of my time, I know it will make a difference. By participating in the RIDE, I'm standing in solidarity with people from many walks of life: young and old, poor and affluent, Aboriginal and Caucasian, urban and rural, those who have little or no voice, and those who often get left behind or ignored. And by fundraising, I'm supporting Catholic Family Services of Prince Albert, who is bringing hope and refuge to those same people, providing professional serivces to people struggling with anything from grief, relationships, addiction, depression, anxiety, trauma, family conflict, domestic violence, anger issues, and spirituality 

I ride for Shalom, as the intention is not only to raise funds and awareness for mental health, but rather Shalom peace; wholeness, completeness, fullness, tranquility, and thriving in body, soul, spirit, and mind.
