My wonderful father suffered from early onset Alzheimers for over 20 years and spent the last decade of his life in Shalom. While I wish I wasn't as familiar with Alzheimers, long term care and Shalom; I am so thankful for the loving care he receieved at Shalom. 

My dad passed away just about a year ago and I convinced some great friends to join me in doing the Grand Parade in his honour. Honestly, he would maybe have thought doing all this in his honour is a little silly, but what isn't silly, is community and caring for those who need a little or a lot of extra help. 

I would be thrilled to have you support us on this walkathon... who knows, maybe if we raise a lot of money, I might have to do the walk in sequins or something true to form like that...;)
