The last few years have seen my family worrying about and caring for elders and managing too many final exits. I have seen firsthand how growing older can rob people of dignity, respect, status, a sense of being valued, and more. I am a Board member for Suomi Koti (literally "Finnish home" -a beautiful seniors residence with LTC) and am so happy my mom has this incredible community around her there. All seniors deserve the same. And we're all aging, my friends! We have to get better systems in place for our senior years so no one is left behind.
