Dear fellow GGP teachers, friends and family,
This fall, GGP is taking part in the Ride for Refuge raising money to help those in our newcomer community that need extra supports.
As you all know, I have been working with Newcomers to Saskatoon for over 5 years now as a English teacher to adult newcomers here at Global Gathering Place. I've heard and seen the result of refugees torn from their own homes, thrown into a new culture and language, and now expected to provide for their family with limited English and financial resourses.
We, at GGP, are commited to walking alongside these refugees, through langauge training, settlement programs and now through this exciting annual fundraiser!
There are many ways you can contribute to the Ride for Refuge....
Would you...
...donate to our Team ELC as we fundraise to help Global Gathering Place continue helping these people in need? Please donate to our cause through the link below – give securely online using credit card or Paypal, and you’ll receive a charitable receipt immediately. Or, write a cheque and send it to me – either way, your donation will make a huge difference.
