I'm fundraising in the Ride for Refuge on Saturday, October 5. All funds raised are going to Kinbrace - a non-profit organization that provides transitional housing to refugees upon their entrance into Canada. You can check out the organization at: https://kinbrace.ca
Upon arrival in Canada, refugee claimants can often be homeless for days, weeks or months until they find permanent housing. Kinbrace helps these individuals by providing housing for 30-40 refugee claimants every year. They do this in a community-oriented way, with shared meals, fostering a sense of belonging and smoothing out what can otherwise be a rough transition. Kinbrace also trains and equips individuals to understand and enter the Canadian workplace.
I'd be honoured if you would consider joining me in supporting Kinbrace as they welcome our new (and often vulnerable) neighbours.
P.S. My friend Kerry lives in and works with this community, and I've heard great things! Please help me raise money than Kerry does. Lol. We have a bit of contest happening. You can check how much she has raised at: https://ride.w-ith.me/KerryMustLose
Thanks for supporting me! #ride24
