This October 5th marks my 10th year fundraising in the Ride for Refuge. I am riding in solidarity with people seeking hope, safety, and freedom. Sadly there seems to be a growing number of people in need of refuge each year (an estimated 43.4 million this year). And although it only takes a few hours of my time, I know it will make a small but important difference. By participating in this fundraising ride, I'm supporting a charity (Kinbrace) that brings hope, refuge and support for a new start in Canada to people who genuinely need it and benefit from it.
