I'm fundraising in the Ride for Refuge on October 5 in support of Kinbrace Community Society, British Columbia’s longest-serving dedicated housing provider for refugee claimants. But they provide so much more than transitional housing. They live the core values of Welcome, Trust, Mutual Transformation and Celebration as they provide wrap around support to newly arrived refugee claimants who must navigate Canada’s complex refugee determination system. Their theory of change is holistic and practical and has impacted individual lives in Metro Vancouver as well as the approach of refugee claimant services across Canada.
Although the RIDE only takes a few hours of my time, I know it will make a difference. By participating, I'm standing in solidarity with people who have little or no voice and who often get left behind or ignored. And by fundraising, I'm supporting a valuable charity who is bringing hope and refuge to those same people. Thanks for supporting me! #ride24
