On Freeze Patrol with City Street Outreach two weeks ago, we were handing out warm clothing and some food items to a group of people huddled in a park. An older woman approached me asking for help. After giving her some food she smiled and said, "we're celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary today!" I said, "congratulations!" Then she pointed across the park to a tent and shared that her husband was with her. Beautiful that they are together, sad that they're unable to afford accomodation.

It's cold out there. And this February, I'm going to do something about it.
