It's cold out there. And this February, I'm going to do something about it. Last year I served as the Co-Director of Reading, PA’s Coldest Night of The Year, which is a 5k walk fundraiser where local groups compete with each other to raise the most money for New Journey Community Outreach. We raised over $55k last year with 250 walkers, and we ranked 5th in the nation for the most funds raised. Since I am now in college in Pittsburgh, I am still helping to run this event as part of the CNOY Board Committee. I won't be able to walk in person on February 22nd, but I am going to do the walk remotely here in Oakland, Pittsburgh. They provide over 400 people with lunch DAILY, over 300 families with much-needed groceries weekly, and they give out clothing to those who need it. New Journey's overall goal is $70,000, and my personal goal is $1,000, so please consider sponsoring me so NJCO can continue serving people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness in the Reading Community.
