It's cold out there. And this February, I'm going to do something about it.
I will be joining the annual St. Felix Centre Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) on February 22, 2025! St.Felix CNOY is a winterrific family-friendly walk and winter celebration, which is part of an initiative hosted in over 160 locations across Canada.
Formally established in 1993,St. Felix Centre is a registered charity organization dedicated to support some of the most marginalized individuals in Toronto. They provide compassionate service and a safe, welcoming and respectful environment inclusive of all religions, genders, cultures and abilities.
WHAT DO THEY DO?
Amongst their programs and services, St. Felix Centre provides:
24-Hour Respite services, a safe and warm space for people to sleep.
Community Meals Program, serving approximately 7,000 meals per month
Casework and social supports, St Felix House, a transitional home for women that helps its residents to regain independent living,
P.A.W.S. (Pets Accessing Wellness Supports), that offers veterinarian services, food, and other supports for pets, Affordable, supportive, permanent housing in Parkdale.
