Hello!

2025 will be the third year that myself and fellow Northerners will be participating in this important event for our various communities coast to coast!

We'll be walking and fundraising to support people and families experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness in our various communities across Canada.

For my own community, I will be raising funds to support local to me - Youth Haven Barrie. A non-profit organization based in Barrie, Ontario, that provides vital support and services to youth aged 16 to 24 who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of becoming homeless. It is the only emergency youth shelter in Simcoe County and the surrounding areas.

They provide the following important services for our vulnerable youth:

Emergency Shelter - Provides a safe and supportive environment for youth in crisis.

Transitional Housing - Offers programs to help youth move towards independence through life skills training, education support, and employment readiness.

Outreach Programs - Supports at-risk youth in the community who may not require shelter but need guidance, food, or counseling services.

Mental Health and Addiction Support - Connects youth with counseling, mental health resources, and addiction services.

Life Skills Development - Workshops and training focused on financial literacy, cooking, job readiness, and other essential skills.

Education and Employment Assistance - Helps youth return to school or find job opportunities.
