This is my 5th year participating in Coldest Night of the Year, for a cause that is close to my heart - housing support. This year is a bit different though, this year I’m also doing it in honour of my mom. She was a passionate advocate for others, especially those who found themselves on the outside. She spent most of her life helping others. It is part of her legacy to me and the world. So this year I’m dedicating my run (5k) and walk(5k) to her. 

By sponsoring me you are helping those experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity with the supports they need through Inn From the Cold, Newmarket. They offer a range of programs, from a low-barrier shelter that welcomes everyone, through various wrap-around supports for people who are at risk of losing their homes.  They also offer job skills training, access to counselling, casework support, and a transitional housing program.
