It's cold out there. And this February, I'm going to experience the smallest taste of what people experiencing homelessness experience on a daily basis.  Walking one hour in the freezing cold with the promise of going back to a warm home full of food and love is a luxury many people don’t have. 
 

Even in a small town like Truro, homelessness is becoming all too common. The CNOY walk in my area is raising money for the Truro Homeless Outreach Society. Their facility, Haven House, provides emergency and transitional beds, personal care supplies, food, housing support, eviction prevention, and advocacy to adults and youth over age 16.
